So if you want to be friended by me, just friend me or reply to this post. Thanks to redrosebloodshe for making this banner.

Important stipulation as of 11/3/07
Just reply here and request an add. But please make it worth my time. Don't just add me, only talk to me a few times, then drop me without gettig to know me. It's a waste of my time. I only want to friend people who will make it worth my time.

What Do You Have To Say? - Work It

How do you make a living?

It's simple. I sit at a computer for 7 and a half hours a day (not counting breaks and lunch), and I take calls, finding phone numbers for customers. Another thing I do, when the customers get too rowdy, while I continue to talk in a nice tone, I hold the middle finger up to the screen. It's that simple. ^_^
Can't believe I'm doing one of these, lol.

What has been your worst experience on public transit?

It is common knowlege that I don't like to drive long distances to see my distant friends, especially through big cities (OK, Erie's an exception). So I enjoy a nice travel on trains and buses. But I did have one such travel that was a nightmare. Last year, while still living in Jersey, I traveled to Philadelphia for a New Year's party to ring in 2007. On the NJ Transit Riverline light rail between Trenton and Camden, the minority of us who minded our business had to put up with a mass argument among a bunch of idiots. All I really could do is just sit there and put up with the crap. Finally, when we got to Burlington, they were ejected. But it was too late, I ended up popping two Motrin when all was said and done. But it was Jersey, so why should I have been surprised?
I'm laying down a new rule, this goes to those who are not friended by me, but may be potential on my list in the future.

I just got dropped by someone without us barely even knowing each other, having barely had the chance to talk. If you want to friend me, don't waste my time. As in, if you have intentions on dropping me not long after adding me without hardly ever having conversation or even knowing me well, don't bother. I had someone who recently added me drop me after having talked on IM once or twice, and this may sound pointless, but I see that as a waste of my time. I would not do that shit to anyone, I would expect that favor returned.

Been awhile since I've blogged on LJ. I've gotten so attached to MySpace that I totally forget about this sometimes. Something about MySpace is addicting. Well, anyhow, I'm doing well. I'm pretty content with how the Mets are doing right now. Atlanta has been a threat to us, we'll see if that continues. We have won the series against the Yankees, we clinched it today. If we can pull off the sweep, I'll love it. The earlier part of yesterday's game sucked, it's not like the Yankees to suck against us like that. Darrell Rasner? That guy pitches worse than Steve Trachsel. I never thought I'd say that about anyone. Rasner belongs in the minors, I don't remember the Yankees EVER giving us three runs at the early going like that. But whatever, I'm just glad they got him and not us.

In other (not so) big news, I'm tired, and I'm going to bed. Night.

A wolf in sheep's clothing

I began friending users from the LiveJournal wrestling communities in 2005. I've had the honor of knowing Bethie, Coma, Vickie, Yolanda, Carrie, Sara, and others from deciding to do that (much love to all of yas <3). But there is one who turned her back on all of us just because our lives don't revolve around being at our computers 24/7. I'm talking about you, the_archangel. I'm going to put my message to you under a cut, so as to spare those not involved from having to see what's going on. Vickie, Bethie, and anyone else who knew Dev, please feel free to read. Comments will be turned off, we can talk about this on Yahoo or something. I know I shouldn't be getting involved, but there were some things that Vickie didn't say that should be said.

Just back off now before you get in deeper hot water...Collapse )

Nov. 1st, 2006

Since there are so many names out there who could possibly do it, I'll just have you type in your choice for this poll. No comments, just vote.

Poll #858476 Bob Barker's replacement

Who should replace Bob Barker on The Price is Right?

Time to do this again.

National League Championship Series
Prediction: New York Mets over St. Louis Cardinals in 7.
What actually happened: I was correct in predicting 7 games. I didn't pick the Mets just because they are my team. I picked them because of how well they did in the regular season and in the first round against the Dodgers. I didn't expect them to slip. Steve Trachsel can't make up his mind whether he wants to suck or be an ace pitcher. After his performance, however, I don't see him sticking around. But anyway, in game 7, if there is any consolation for the Mets, it was Endy Chavez preventing a bigger humiliation, which lead to us making the Cards earn their victory. Both teams were full of desperation whenever they were trailing, but in the end, the Cardinals are the NLCS Champions.
Actual outcome: Cardinals over Mets, 4-3.

American League Championship Series
Prediction: Detroit Tigers over Oakland A's in 7.
What actually happened: Well, Oakland wasn't as strong as I thought they would be. If you look up at my NLCS analysis, you'll see how I talk about how weak both the Mets and Cards were. But damn, had the A's been in the NL and faced either one of them, they would've gotten crushed, the way they were playing. Wait, they got crushed anyway! In the beginning, I didn't expect Detroit to go anywhere in their series with the Yankees. But, they proved me wrong there, then went on to pull off a sweep.
Actual outcome: Tigers over A's in a 4 game sweep.

Now, time to make my prediction for the World Series.
World Series
Detroit Tigers over St. Louis Cardinals in 5 or 6.
Yes, I was disappointed over the Mets loss. But I must be honest here. While Detroit will have an easy time with the Cards, it won't be as easy as you may think. I can see the Cards pulling out a win or two here. The Cards have Albert Pujols, someone Detroit has NEVER had to deal with (as far as I know, anyway), who I think will be enough to get them some wins here. Plus, the Tigers don't have Endy Chavez to help block home run attempts by Scott Rolen. But as for the entire series, it won't be enough. The World Series begins tonight, and we will find out within a few days who the team of 2006 is.

An open letter to the MLB executives

I know this may not get anywhere, and they may or may not take the time to read this, but it's worth the shot. Comments turned off because I'm making this entry public, just in case, and I don't want any trolls or troublemakers replying in my journal. That said...

Are you guys monitoring your umpires? In last night's NLCS game between the Mets and the Cardinals, two unfair calls were made in favor of Saint Louis. One against Met Carlos Beltran, claiming an obvious ball was strike three. Earlier in the game, the reverse, an obvious third strike called a ball for Albert Pujols. This came on the pitch before Pujols hit a home run. Whether or not the outcome of the game would've been different is irrelevant to why I'm writing this. You guys should keep a closer eye on the managers and the umpires, checking to see if maybe the umpires aren't being paid off by teams to make calls that go in their favor. I'm not saying the Mets didn't make errors and that they should have won. Far from it. But this is how teams get robbed of possible victories that could lead them to championship rings that they rightfully deserve. Thank you for your time.
